Weekend Wrap Up (Go Team Lynn)

I don't know if I've lost or gained!

I'm down 1.2 from last week, yay! However, if we have to report the change from the past 2 weeks, then I'm up 1.5. Sheesh. Oh, well, I've reported all my info to Lynn, I'm sure she is sure what the rules are. In the meantime, I'm pretty happy with my results this week.

This weekend was fun. I did end up curling twice on Friday. Since I had had an active day, I didn't do my lower body exercises. Saturday was a scheduled run (14k), but I missed it because I was running around buying new running shoes! We had my mom over for dinner and I just ran out of time.

Of course, I could have done it Sunday, but we spent the whole day moving furniture around in our house. Daughter needed a new bed, which we don't have the $$ for right now, so we moved our guest bed to her room, moved her futon from her 2nd bedroom to the guest room, brought up an old couch from the basement to her 2nd bedroom and cleaned along the way.

I wanted to run outside, but I have to test out my shoes on the treadmill first. And there was no way I was doing 14k in my old shoes. And by the time we were done all the moving and cleaning, the gym wouldn't have been open long enough for me to run that far. Oh well. I was a bit panicked about it for a few hours, but I've let it go. Overall I stayed with my workout plan AND was active to boot!

Saturday we started yoga class. It was fun to get back at it. We hadn't been to a class since last spring! All the same people were still in the class, so it was nice. And hard. Easy to forget how much strength is required sometimes to hold a pose.

This week my dinners are all going to be from my new cookbook. Cooking for the Rushed - The Healthy Family. Yum. 7 weeks of different meal ideas all laid out for me, no thought required. Can life get any better?

Today I hit the weights after I drop daughter off at school. Fun times.

Have a healthy day bloggers.

  3. That is a great loss.

Do you mean curling, curling? Like the sport in the Olympics? I LOVE watching that and want to learn to play, but I live in Alabama, so I am going to have to take a vacay to do it. Awesome.

I am going to have to check out that cook book. One of my goals for the new year is to cook more and eat out less.
