Weekend Wrap Up (Go Team Lean!)

Happy Monday!

Weigh in today - up 1.6 - likely due to monthly cycleness.

I read the BLBE page this morning before I sent in my results. I have to be honest - it caused me pause. In one point we were chastised for reporting a gain - lots of people where turned away from the challenge and we aren't taking it seriously and in the next point we were chastised for not reporting our results and should report even if we have a gain. Um, point # 1 is why people are doing point #2. No one likes to get in trouble - and they already know they screwed up.

I know that kind of stuff works for some people....I'm not one of them. Of course, I quite likely wouldn't have been so sensitive to that post had I not gained this week. I know this.

Moving on...

Had a good weekend this weekend. Didn't get my exercise in. Took puppy to vet. What we think happened to the paw is that perhaps it got wet on our walk and then stuck to some ice - ripping off the skin. Poor monkey. I have some cream to put on and he should make a full recovery!

Since my vet appt was during yoga, daughter took my place in class. Her and husband had a competition during class to see who could hold the bridge post the longest. Daughter kicked his butt! Anyhow, I was really glad that she went - great father daughter time AND they both had a great 90 minutes of yoga.

Today is weights up at the club. I am also planning on doing the bike while daughter is at Mui Thai.

Have a healthy day!

  1. Honey, the BLBE2 post wasn't directed at you personally! She just missed a lot of people's reports... those 8 or 10 people could have made a big difference. You're getting activity in... and your family's on board... Don't stress about the gain... you'll take it back off!

  3. Glad to hear that the puppy isn't hurt too bad! Keep working on the weight loss, one week's gain isn't too big a deal

  4. I'm with you...that type of stuff just doesn't motivate me. (Which is why I didn't join the BLBE...just not my cup of tea and you have to do what works for you.)

Your poor puppy. Glad he's doing better.

  5. OMG! I felt exactly the same way when I read the post. (I had a gain due in part to the same issue you mention in your post) I thought about shooting off a smart alecking comment - but then I remembered. I did sign up for this and I am just too sensitive. I know why there was a gain for me, owned up to it, and then got really po'd as in, "oh yeah? watch me turn this around!"

Yeah us! You were very supportive in your comment to me last week...thank you. It really balanced out how I perceived the BLBE post last night. I hope this post does the same for you. You are doing it! Keep it up! I can't wait to see what your WI is for next week. My WI is tomorrow and I already know there is a loss coming my way! Go Team Lean!

  6. I agree with the blog. I think they're just trying to use their effort and stuff as another excuse for us all to give it our all but guilt has never worked well with me. Although, there are a LOT of challengers so maybe the blog touched them in a motivational way in case they're not reporting. The only other thing that I wanted to comment on is that the reason those other challengers were turned away was because they were too late. It had nothing to do with the committment of those already accepted so... the logic is missing for me. However, I guess I might be frustrated with people's lack of committment if I were donating so much time... I'm rambling.
Next week you'll be down 3, so don't sweat it :) I love your little runner girl on your page. She's hillarious. haha.
