Friday, FINALLY

How can I be happy that it is Friday, when I just got back from Mexico on Sunday? Sheesh.

So, yesterday I didn't do my resistance training. I moved all the exercises that Sparkpeople gave me to do from yesterday to today. I will endeavour to do them between my daughter's practices.

What I did do yesterday was a very rigorous belly dance class. Our teacher graciously let us meet at our usual class time, even though we are on break till the next session starts next Thursday, so that we could get in extra practice before the show. How nice is she? We warmed up and then just did the two routines over, and over, and over. I was quite sweaty when it was over.

So, I just reviewed my day yesterday on Sparkpeople. I went over by 214 calories. Since I did both the bike and the class, I'm not too fussed about that. What I found more interesting was the makeup of my calories. I think I need a carb intervention. Seriously. My protein consumption was seriously lacking. I was at the high end for fat and carbs, but really low for protein. I'm going to try and fix that, because I know I get less hungry in between meals when I eat more protein. Sheesh, yet another thing to work on.

So, bloggers. I don't know if I told you all this, but I registered for a course at the local University! German I. I'm going to go try to find my classroom today, and maybe buy my text book. I'm quite stressed about being able to do this, but I figure one course is the way to start - get over my intimidation, and then maybe I can take more courses at a time. We'll see.

Well, I must away. I have to wake up daughter and get her ready for practice.

Have a healthy day bloggers!

wow a German class, belly dancing and resistance training, you are on a role. I would love to take belly dancing classes, maybe one day, at least I know who to turn to for advice :)

  2. Belly dancing sounds like so much fun. I know it IS a workout, but it sounds so much better than walking on a treadmill for an hour.

Good luck in your German class! You'll have to teach us all some fun new phrases!
