Question for the Blogverse

Bloggers, I have a question for you all. What are your general rules for commenting on someones blog? Do you ever tell them if you think they may be thinking of doing something wrong, or do you just find something positive in the post to comment on, or do you just not comment on that particular post?

There is a strange sense of intimacy in blogging, and yet, we don't really know anyone. Sometimes people are just clearing their head.

Anyhow - just wondering what your thoughts are.

  1. *sniffle* if you have something mean to say, just say it already ;) Just Kidding.

I usually take the approach of being honest, even if that seems harsh at the time, because I think most of the time that is what people want to hear, the good and the bad.

  2. I don't comment or just focus on the positive, because it's just a moment in time. It may not be a true reflection of someone. I know I say some stupid things, but everyone has been really nice to me so far. I get to reveal my most embarrassing stuff and then let it go as soon as it's written. I can't do that with most people, except hubby and my closest friends. Is that weird?! But yeah, that's why I don't say anything in comments.

I have sent an e-mail though, which wasn't well received, but it made me feel like I was trying to make a difference in someone's life.

  3. I try to just let people know what worked for me, but nicely and positively if that makes sense.
