Biggest Loser Spoilers Ahead!!

All time "I hate Helen" moment last night had to be when she said that she didn't know if she was ready to go home when she was talking to Tara.... really Helen... is that the same home that you sent your daughter to weeks ago?  Honestly - I can't think of what kind of mother wouldn't insist that their daughter stay in something like this.... She drives me crazy.  Oh, don't get me wrong - I think she looks great - but she isn't a good mom in my eyes.

I was sad to see Filipe go home last night.... I found him funny and I enjoyed his clips.  I was really impressed to see him running the family/friends boot camp in his backyard.  Good for him.  And his family and friends.  I look forward to seeing him at the finale.

Tara wins another challenge.  It was very nice to see her at the end of it - when she finally accepted herself..... Of course, like with any show, it is annoying to see the same person win all the time, but even though, it will be fun to see how she does at home after this latest breakthrough.

I personally think Mike will take it all.  I would have liked to see Ron go - I don't like fibbers.  Plus, I have to be honest - I find him rather distasteful to look at.  I realize this is really, really shallow.... but he gives me the icks!

I thought the train the trainer portion was fun to watch.  Bob was even yummier sweaty.  Mmmmmm.....

I'm still feeling pretty crappy.  I have to be honest - I would rather not be sick while all this swine flu is out there - even though there is no way I have it - it is unnerving!

The only exercise that I did yesterday was a walk for an hour with the pup.  Tonight is my night to go to the gym with husband.  I think I will just sit on the bike while he does his weights.  I don't know if I have the energy to lift weights.  I figure as long as I move some part of me... I likely could pull off a weight workout,  if I'm honest, but I really believe that you get healthy faster if you rest.  Maybe that's a cop-out, I don't know... but that's what I'm going with!!

I'm making Thai chicken thighs tonight.  That has to be one of my favourite meals.  That is the one thing about me - no matter how sick I'm feeling - I never, ever lose my appetite.  Sigh....

I bought myself a nice fresh loaf of 3 grain rye bread today and made myself a ham sandwich for breakfast.  It was really good.  Rye bread has to be my favourite type of bread.  Followed by pumpernickel.  Mmmmm.

Well, I suppose I have blathered on long enough.  Have a healthy day bloggers!

  1. I think it is HORRIBLE that the mom sent the child home, both times. How selfish.

And for Ron...does he not think that Bob knew EXACTLY what happened? idiot. I think he is nasty too, and to be honest, I seriously wonder what his wife sees in him, he doesn't seem especially funny, witty, or anything 'sexy'....BLECH.

  2. I so agree with you on all your BL points. I was really hoping that Sione was going to make it to the end and win - and when he left I was hoping that Filipe would pick up his pace, but he just didn't have enough in him. I suspected early on in last nights episode that Filipe would be the one to go since he got so much airtime - thats USUALLY how they seem to work it.

I can't wait for next week, I feel like Tara and Mike will automatically make it and then it will be up to the voting to see if Ron or Helen make it as well. That will be a hard vote - RON vs. HELEN - talk about the lesser of two evils - lol

  3. I don't really care who wins at this point. Both Ron and Helen bug me, Mike seems like a nice kid but I guess cuz of Ron I don't want him to win...and I hate the way they have gotten away with controlling the game. Tara is good but she bugs me too...and how many times can one person come from behind and win and have a personal all seems a little redundant and contrived to me. I wanted Sione to win. I guess I'll watch to see who wins the at home portion...

  4. RE Ron: Agree. How that man is losing so much weight is amazing. Considering he is not working out like the others.

I love watching BL but I can't help but wonder how many are going to stay 'fit' for life...

As for Tara, the dark red stretch marks on her make me suspect her of gaining weight fast to get on the show. Though that also strikes me as ridiculous...

One thing I don't like about the show is that I think it sets some of the viewers up for feeling like failures. If Tara can lose 8 pounds in a week.... etc. etc.

  5. I do the same thing when I'm sick...very low impact exercise that barely gets my heart rate up. In my opinion, any sickness is the body's way of saying slow down. So I listen and slow down or stop completely until I feel better.

  6. I hope you feel better.

I really want Tara to win. I know everyone is sick of her winning the challenges but there have been other seasons where other people kept winning (the twins from a couple years ago) so it's nice to a female do so well. I never thought Helen would make it that far and she has me a little worried. I don't think she can win the whole thing but who knows. I personally think she should have gone home last week and that Kristin should have been able to stay. I cannot stand Ron and his lying. I don't like Mike's smugness either. And Ron is gross. His lips are really odd. lol

  7. PS: We all could lose 8 pounds a week if we could work out 10 hours a day.

  8. Thank you for your comment on my post about my body image issues. It really helps to know there are other people out there with the same problems and feelings. That's the most wonderful thing about blogging...we find out that we are not alone.

  9. My friend Hazel asked me to ask you to post your recipe for thai chicken thighs. Would that be possible?
