I am so sore from that half marathon that I woke up and immediately said to husband "I don't know if I'm going to workout today".....
Then I got out of bed to let the dog outside.... oy! the pain in my feet going down the stairs..... "ya, I'm not working out today" I say to myself with every step down (all 16 of them).
But, by the time I went back UP stairs, got dressed, got Tim's..... eh, I didn't hurt AS MUCH so I went.
Weights & cycling all done! I did the following:
Grapevine Lunge - 3 sets of 12 using 12.5 lb weight
Sumo Squats - 3 sets of 12 using 12.5 lb weight
Bench Rows - 3 sets of 12 using 12.5 lb weight
Triceps Push-Ups - 3 sets of 12
Curl Press - 3 sets of 12 using 8 lb weights
Ball Circles - 3 sets of 12
Ball Sit Ups - 3 sets of 20
Leg Lifts - 3 sets of 12
The lunges & sumo squats both hurt today, because my hips are so friggen tight from the walk. Weights took 40 minutes today, cycling took 30 minutes.
I worked really hard to keep my energy up on the bike. No easy task, but I did it because somehow it made my legs feel better. I managed to keep my RPM's above 90.
What I cannot do today is take the dog for a walk. My feet and ankles are just so sore. I just took a couple of Advil. I'm hoping that helps. I feel bad for puppy, but... I just can't.
Thanks to Jaime, I am sitting here sucking back a Venti Latte! She is always drinking something from Starbucks and I am always dying for a Latte by the time I'm done reading her entry! Today I went and bought one. Mmmmm, it's good!
Hmm, oh, I signed up for a week long yoga camp in July up at my Club. 1.5 hours every morning for only $50! I think that is a screaming deal!
I am patiently waiting for the e-mail telling me that the photos are available from the race. Ok, maybe not SO patiently!!
Well, bloggers - sadly that is all I got! Have a healthy day!
Way to go for sticking to your exercise plan after being sore from the half!
ReplyDeleteIf you switch up that latte for an americano misto, it's half the calories!
ReplyDeleteI'm completely impresed that you've stuck to the Shape workout all four weeks. You are inspiring me! And your club sounds heavenly, with the yoga camp and the restaurant and all.
ReplyDeleteLike ChezJulie I am completely impressed that you did your Shape workout inspite of having just done the 1/2...I would have used that for non-exercise excuses for a week...and has it been that long already???
ReplyDeleteYoga camp sounds like so much fun!! And what a great price!
