I woke up thinking today was Friday :-(

I hate when that happens. Makes the week seem really long. Poor husband was thinking yesterday was Friday. His week will feel even longer.

I had my session with personal trainer. Holy Crap. She was mean to me today. She made me do everything 3 times (I mean sets) and then just willy nilly added two back exercises because my back was the only part of my body that didn't hurt after Monday's session. If my reunion wasn't 42 (OMG!!!) days......I would have complained louder! HA!

Just got back from a walk with puppy. Now that I'm trying to take things to the next level, I tried to set the trainer assistant on my Garmin so that I could keep a specific pace. Alas, math is not my strong suit, so once I figured out how many kilometers an hour I wanted to walk and then converted it out to a pace, I realised half way through my walk that I had put the wrong value in the pace calculator. I tried to just give 'er anyhow and I came in close to the pace I wanted - I was 36 seconds off! My goal is to walk 4 mph - which is what the Jillian Michael's website told me was a good pace for me to get fit. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, but regardless I'm not quite that fast yet.

I told my personal trainer that I would be starting with the weights again on my own on Sunday. I haven't done weights alone since my holiday. All part of the "next level". Once a week is just not enough. I will continue on with the Kim Lyons program, since my trainer has given it the thumbs up. Once I find my grove though, I may open my Jillian Michael's book - we'll see.

What else....oh, I served Sticky Chicky last night for dinner with perogies. 4 thumbs up! The chicken was 6pts for two thighs and the perogies were 3 pts for 4. The chicken was really good. I think the sauce would be really good on meatballs.

Tonight is Slow Beans Bourguignon. It smells really good, but I suspect that daughter may not appreciate the cup of wine in the recipe!!

Oh, I had some good news today. My two girlfriends are ready to start attending WW meetings again. I've been counting points this whole time, but just doing my weigh in's on my home scale. I won't go to the meetings alone because I'm not good at making conversation with folks I don't know, but I'm happy to go with these gals.

  1. Yeah, I hate that, too! But, on the flip side, have you ever woken up on a Saturday morning, thinking it was a WEEK day, then realized it was the WEEKEND? Sweet, sweet...you're one busy gal...keep up that super fab stuff, girlie!

  2. Cool that you have friends to go to WWs with. I think that really helps.

    Doing weights twice a week would be doubling your weight workouts. Sounds like a good idea to me!! :)
